This is my final poster for a psychological horror movie called Case 39.It's about a social services department that is dealing with abuse in a family. The young girl seems to be at the receiving end of this abuse - but then - it's not as it seems as she is the abuser.
Below are a few development shots of how I got to the final poster.
I drew the girl in pig tails and drew the mask separately. The sketches were then scanned and rendered using the softest settings of the Blob Brush tool to make a silhouette of the girl. The different parts were then grouped together, text added in different typefaces to see which worked best. I finally decided on the fiery type. The girl holding the file seemed to work much better as the file gave more colour to the poster.
